Artifacts:

1. In March, 2016 my ceramic work was selected for the Juried Student Exhibition. The piece is a pair of wall hangings named "Haze" made in 2015. It represents a turning point in my ceramic craftsmanship.

* I also received two awards during the show, one for ceramics discipline and the other for art education.

2. I enjoy teaching mixed media works of art where students plan through drawing and then transfer their ideas to three dimensions. For example, with my high school students they used their prior knowledge of landscape drawing and composition skills to create a rough draft of their three dimensional landscape.

5. While my younger students learn about color, I consistantly ask them to list the primary, secondary, and complementary sets of colors. We are then able to move forward having this information as a guiding component to our lessons.
