Casco Bay Highschool is an expeditionary school in Portland, Maine. Expeditionary learning is built from a foundation of principles to help students understand the process of learning while performing to their highest ability. This form of learning pushes students to challenge themselves in all academic areas of study. While interning at Casco Bay High School I was introduced to a place where student teacher relationships and community were most valued. This internship helped me grow to new heights in understanding assessment, comprehension, and teaching art. I spent three months full time and three months part-time teaching an introductory art course to primarily freshmen students.
