Birdhouses

Big Idea: Student will design and build birdhouses that will be distributed on Village School grounds.

Sessions: Ten+ 45 minute Sessions (based on student’s needs)

Grade Level: 2nd through 5th grade

Overview

Students engage in the design, planning, and building of a birdhouse with limited materials and tools.

Lesson Objectives

• Students learn to research and solve various problems independently

• Students learn to plan, draft and build a birdhouse from their own designs

• Students learn to seek support from peers and adults

• Students learn to give, receive and apply feedback
