Part 1: 

Pick a plaster object and draw it; use a full range of values and shade the form to create the feeling of a 3D object in space. - 1 page

 

Part 2: 

Using a viewfinder, frame out a portion of the still life made from the plaster objects and draw the arrangment using graphite. Using shading to bring out the forms. Remember to indicate background shapes and/or lines to give a feeling of the space around the forms. - 1 page 

 

Part 3: 

Charcoal drawing of still life/plaster objects using the side of the charcoal to block out big value shapes. Smudge and build up charcoal shades and textures to bring out the forms in the composition. - 1 page 

 

Reverse charcoal still likfe/plaster objects. Make a medium grey ground on your paper using a medium to soft grade charcoal stick. Smooth out the texture by rubbing with tissue. Erase out highlights in the composition and apply charcoal to in several different tones to the major value shapes. - 1 page
